Volunteering Opportunities

Student Experience Marketing Volunteer

Do you want to be an official blogger for UOA? We are currently looking for creative students to share their experiences of being a student by blogging or vlogging about things that matter to students. These may be subjects of your choice or one of the many topics that students have told us they would like to hear about such as coping with exam pressure, managing your money or being out and about in Aberdeen.

In return you will receive STAR award accreditation and the opportunity to attend a series of lunch and learn sessions with marketing and communication professionals.

If you are interested please submit a short blog (100 – 150 words) on a topic of your choice to cluedup@abdn.ac.uk

English Language Support Volunteer

The International Office is looking to recruit students with an interest in providing English language support to current international offer holders. Details of the role and how to sign up are below.

  • Your role will involve providing one-to-one English language support to international students who currently hold an offer to study at Aberdeen.
  • Four Skype sessions will take place with each international applicant, lasting about 15 minutes each, with the opportunity to provide feedback to the International Office on how they go.

The aim of the project is to improve the English of our future students and provide a friendly face that they can speak to before coming to the University, with a small commitment from you of one to two hours per week. Upon completion of the project, you’ll receive a certificate from the University Language Centre, and it can also be put towards a bronze Star Award.
If this sounds like something you’d be interested in, please complete the sign-up form.
